My ponderings on the previous story.

My cousin’s son, wanted to FEEL the joy of winning unexpectedly that he saw on my face. His young mind could not differentiate between plushy and emotion of winning! The plushy, the object (and as they age humans) become collapsed with the sentient experience of joy that I so authentically expressed.

An effective practice of parenting would have helped this youngling parse out those things through his own natural process until he himself desires to give the teenager the plushy back!

An indigenous practice of restoration and village learning would have included the teenager in a form of loving/playful circle practice until the teenager and the youngling felt complete around that shared experience.
