each in perfectly ill-fitting
deformed amoebic shapes 
to get stuck in our uniquely
neat and pretty insides.

its peculiar anatomy 
purges our heart, 
peels our mind and 
pokes our soul alive.

and if we bite and chew this 
shape-shifting parasite within, 
we swallow our fallacies and fears 
and feed ourselves full and whole.
