Difference between longing and lust…

Lust wanes over time, longing never dies, no matter how hard we try.

Longing invites and facilitates our evolution by its choicelessness.

Lust provides temporary and instant gratification.

When we have mature sexuality we know this difference as real and true in our embodied experience. We also have the discernment to use masturbation for our lust and safe and pleasurable sex with a consenting other for our longing.
